Description

The HC-05 is a Bluetooth SPP (Serial Port Protocol) module designed for wireless serial communication. It’s widely used in embedded systems and microcontroller-based projects for enabling Bluetooth connectivity between devices.

📦 Key Features:

  • Bluetooth Version: 2.0+EDR (Enhanced Data Rate)

  • Operating Voltage: 3.3V (but often used with 5V via level shifter or voltage divider)

  • Communication: UART (TX, RX)

  • Baud Rate: Default 9600 (configurable from 9600 to 1382400)

  • Range: ~10 meters (open space)

  • Modes: Master and Slave (configurable via AT commands)

  • Built-in LED: Indicates connection status (flashing = not connected, steady = connected)
